Welcome to our blog! If you haven't heard by now, we are adopting and we thought that creating a blog would be a fun way to keep everyone updated on our adventure. For starters, it seems important to share how we came to the decision of adoption...

Adoption has always been a topic of conversation in our relationship however, what started as a thought for the future has become a daily prayer and hope. Katey has struggled with certain health issues for years and recently learned that she is infertile. At first, we were devastated and found ourselves consumed with finding a remedy, medicine or treatment that would undo reality...until we gave our fears to God.

Kate's involvement with The Call (a movement emphasized on worship, prayer and fasting for Spiritual breakthrough), influenced her heart for transracial adoption two years ago and just as soon as she began to mourn the loss of fertility, God clothed her in gladness with a hope for adoption. It wasn't long before God grabbed hold of Jason's heart and now, we are on the road to adoption...one very prayerful day at a time.

Our blog will not only keep you updated on our journey, but it will also cover important topics in relation to adoption. It is our hope that this blog is used as a tool for the glory of God and that perhaps the story of our love and hope for a family will help others who struggle with infertility.
